Peter's Beautiful Biofueled Bus

Burn Clean Project officially presents…

BIOBUS (space) SHUTTLE 2007
with Peter the German Guy aka Teacher With The Bus

Meet new lifelong friends on the BIOBUS (space) SHUTTLE to Black Rock City. You will be scooped up at Reno International and whisked to Wild Oats for a quick grocery run and then on to the playa!!! This is the first in a pilot program to lessen our cumulative impact of travel to the greatest city on Mama Earth by getting there on vegetable oil!

A $55-$65 donation to Burn Clean Project will reserve a One Way ride to or from the playa, helping you to avoid burning petroleum, the cost of a car rental, and the worst part of all—scrubbing the rental car thoroughly enough so they don’t charge you a playa-sized cleaning fee!

KohlerDon Gray at Kohler Power Supply is your man with the plan. He has boldly and brilliantly gone outside the conventions of generator providers across the country and made generators available for B100 use. In 2006, Kohler provided the generators for the Man, the Greeter’s Sation, and the Staff Commissary, as well as many theme camps such as Entheon Village and Hookah Dome. In 2007, BM has contracted Kohler almost all their generators and will be running B99 in them…yay, yay, yay!!!

Kohler offers 50 kW, 100kW, and 180 kW generators for B100 usage. They also make available the massive 300 kW for use with B10 or less.

Email is the most effective and preferred mode for Kohler inquiries.

Contact: Don.Gray@kohler.com
United Rentals allows blends up to B5…woowee. Cashman’s might allow up to B20.

National Biodiesel Board’s Biodiesel Retailers Map

NBBTip: Sometimes the NBB’s data is outdated, so…Map out the fueling sites you’d like to use along the way, then call each one to double check: if they are still in operation, the price is viable, and the retail hours… no need to stress over fuel on a big trip due to incorrect information.

Department of Energy’s Alternative Fuel Station Locator
Dept. of Energy Tip: Same as tip above — call ahead to confirm.

Converting the sun’s rays to energy for your sound system, lighting, and art projects is easier and cheaper than you might think.

Tips:

1) Assess your energy needs first. Find out how many kilowatt hours (kWh) you need for each electrical device you have

Reware Recycled Solar Backpack
Whether you’re a burner who’s gotta trek to your own personal soundtrack, cutting a film, recording a podcast, or just taking mad digital photos, there are some personal solar power packs and bags out there to keep your gadgets juiced up when you need them.
Affordable Solar has portable power packs and PowerFilm. Solio makes a sleek portable charger, though call to make sure they have the right tips for the gadgets you want to take. (BCP REQUEST: if you order from Solio, ask them not to send any tips that you do not plan to use, as it is a HUGE WASTE. (Thanks. Luv u.) These chargers are great for the burner who wants to transfer energy sources from their bike basket to their Balenciaga in an instant. (Bear with me, I just read a Harper’s Bazaar and I’m feelin’ the tranny fashionista voice right now.)
